Since this school is not a traditional type, it can seem daunting to try and get teachers motivated to learn new things or even want to try to advance in their teaching capabilities. Thankfully, most teachers that I'm working with are eager to learn more about the various ways we can use technology to make our admin work easier and even boost the "fun factor" in lessons.
I decided to make the survey anonymous so that people would feel less hesitant to be honest about their possible lack of understanding on certain forms of tech that we use. Teachers feel comfortable with me knowing things so those that sought one-on-one coaching came to me directly after they had completed their survey. Upper management does not react well to those honest about not understanding things. I think I've become better at balancing a serving and autocratic leadership character.
This plan lacks a budget for the time being, but it was created to show what I believe can get done without much need for money. The most important thing is the time to train staff and educate both faculty and families on why we teach the way that we do.
