Orientation Plan I Created
I personally feel that, especially in the preschool and kindergarten level, parents should be involved in all that their children are getting into. I invite parents to visit the school and classrooms for monitoring when convenient.
I believe these parents had a great time with their children even though it was a bit different from what they were expecting. I don't follow a very Korean style of education.
Since this is ESL for preschoolers, I asked a nearby furniture store if they wouldn't mind me bringing. me bringing the children in to learn about the different parts of a home.
They allowed us to come in and tour and my students really impressed me by keeping their matters that I taught them. They did not break anything or even leave anything in disarray.
It was a great experience for the students and an opportunity for the store to promote itself. to the community.
Hands-on experience curriculum
Idea inspired by Reggio Emilia research
I had asked the teachers to revamp their classrooms in a style more suitable for a preschool environment. In the beginning, most of the teachers were reluctant to design their classrooms, since we have limited space.
After a bit of research and effort, one teacher was especially proud of his efforts on his classroom. He also noticed a positive change in the way his students behave in the classroom. He was so excited that he brought me in to give me a tour. I see a few elements of my advise being used effectively.
